Project VIEW

Police take a tip from YouTube:
This is a great idea and I hope some U.S. police departments implement it as well.

Police in New South Wales, Australia are creating their own version of YouTube that would allow citizens to upload footage if they recorded a crime taking place.

Project VIEW (Video Image Evidence on the Web) is being overseen by NSW Police assistant commissioner Bob Waites, and has been in development since the aftermath of the 2005 Cronulla riots and London terrorist bombings.

As long as they can guarantee the anonymity of the users I think this would go a long away to help fight crime.

Arrest made in UK fight video

Man bailed over YouTube child-baiting footage:
An unnamed 21-year-old has been arrested for the YouTube video that encouraged two kids to fight each other.

The man, from Crawley, West Sussex, in England has been released on bail.

Salvia Trip Videos

Kids posting drug hallucinations on YouTube:
According to the article stupid loser kids, ok I added the stupid loser part, are posting videos of kids tripping on the mostly legal hallucinogen salvia.

A search on YouTube for the keyword salvia netted 3,460 results. Mostly of loser kids recording their loser friends tripping. Just because it’s legal doesn’t make it right or safe.

UK kids urged to fight

Boys urged to punch and headbutt each other in YouTube video:
Police in England are searching for whoever posted a video to YouTube that showed two 10-year-olds fighting each other.

The films called Lethal Fight (Crawley) and Lethal Fight 2, which were apparently recorded in a West Sussex bedroom, were posted five days ago.

A disembodied voice can be heard laughing and then imploring further violence: “Oh come on, you’re not hugging each other – you little bitches.”

One of the children replies: “What do you want us to do then?”

He is told “Anything – best to, you know, smack the s*** out of each other.”

Since this is my first post here it sets the bar pretty high that people are stupid enough to post anything to YouTube.

Both videos have been pulled by YouTube.
