Scientubeology

I know this isn’t crime related per se but everyone’s favorite wacky cult, the Church of Scientology, has launched its own YouTube Channel.

I don’t foresee this going well for the CoS.

Carrollton GA police use YouTube

Area Police Turn to YouTube:
The Carrollton, Georgia Police Department is using YouTube in hopes to catch a few armed robbery suspects among other things. Check out their YouTube channel, you might be able to help them out.

Yobs set police car on fire

Yobs post cop car arson on YouTube:
A video was posted to YouTube that showed a British Transport Police car being set ablaze. Luckily the constables were not in the car at the time as they were responding to a call of a man on the tracks. This happened in the Overpoll area of Cheshire, England. The car will cost £16,000 ($31,766) to replace.

The video itself has either been pulled from YouTube or I can’t find it so if you know where the video is please provide us with a link.

Anyway I’m sure the video will be plenty of evidence to track these yobs down.

From the stupid criminal files

Slow news day so here we have one of my new favorite surveillance videos of a guy dressed like a pirate trying to break into Perk Central Coffee in Washington State. Wait for the slo-mo part, it’s worth it.

Trashman is a fake

YouTube bragger ‘Trashman gave AIDS to thousands’:
Some assclown who calls himself Trashman is claiming that he’s intentionally infected over 1,200 women with AIDS.

Before this jackass gets one more minute of attention let me go on record that I think this idiot is nothing more than an attention whore.

Unless you’re Wilt Chamberlain or a porn star you’re not having this much sex with women.

But I’m sure this will perpetuate the old “Welcome to the World of AIDS” urban legend. Pretty soon every internet dumbass will claim that a friend of friend was infected by Trashman.

Pizza guy’s car robbed

GPS robbery posted on YouTube:
Zahir Uddin is a delivery driver for a Papa John’s in Norwalk, CT. While waiting for his next stack of deliveries his vehicle was robbed of a GPS unit and an iPod. Uddin posted the surveillance footage on YouTube.

Uddin is offering a week of free pizzas for the return of the stolen items.

The best quotes from the article come from Uddin himself…

“It’s pretty bad,” he said. “I lost $800, $900. Of course, I don’t make that much money, so it’s very hard for me.”

“This guy need to grow up,” Uddin said. “He can’t steal. He need to get a job.”

He need to get a job indeed. Hopefully with this footage Mr. Uddin’s items will be returned.

Besides, why would you want to rob the pizza guy? He brings us pizza.

Texas business owner hopes to catch thieves

Business hopes YouTube video will catch thieves:
The owners of Texas Media Systems in Austin have been burglarized one too many times. Within two a week of each other they had two separate incidents of being robbed.

Two thieves used a screwdriver to open a door and steal a plasma TV and laptop from Texas Media Systems two weeks ago. Seven days later, another thief stole a planter off their front doorstep.

Now the owner, Terry Nixon, has posted the surveillance footage of the latest theft on YouTube.

Why would anyone want to steal a planter anyway? Maybe he thought he could grow his pot in it.

Racially motivated beating in Montreal

Police hope video will help find assailants:
Montreal police are hoping that a video posted on LiveLeak will help them track down suspects in a racially motivated beating that happened this past Friday.

It’s alleged that two white men from Ontario hurled racial epithets at a crowd of black people that brought on the beating. The video diesn’t capture the slurs but does capture the beating.

Police are hoping to identify the suspects through the video. The victims refused treatment and are unwilling to cooperate with police.

If these guys were hurling racial insults then they did deserve a beating but not from a mob. I guess a man on man fight is a thing of the past these days.

YouTube parenting tips

Christine of b5media’s Weary Parent has a great post on how to make sure your kids aren’t taping fights for YouTube.

(Disclosure: I also post for b5 at MyCrimeSpace and Psycho for Love)

12-year-olds tape beating

Middle school girls tape schoolmate beating:
Several; female students of Clarksville Middle School in Indiana ages 12-14 are in trouble for the beating of a 12-year-old girl that was recorded and posted to Photobucket.

The school isn’t doing anything because the incident happened off school grounds. Police seem to think this was inspired by the beating of Victoria Lindsay.

Thanks to my wife Jade for the tip.
